We invite you to view our Spring Collection 2010.

                                        “Melodies"

What is more precious than a mother's song to her infant child?  Slowly, softly, tenderly, we sing our quiet songs for no one else to hear but one wide-eyed baby.

The Heirloom Dressmaker celebrates those quiet moments of song with its 2010 Spring Collection of infant heirlooms named for the music that a baby brings to our hearts.

Sewing heirloom quality clothing for infant girls is our specialty, from newborn to twelve months.  Each dress is designed to be a one of a kind treasure, so no two dresses are alike.  Every dress is stitched in Blowing Rock, North Carolina with loving care and attention to detail.

First, an original geometric smocking design is created for each heirloom.  No smocking design is used twice at The Heirloom Dressmaker.  All dresses are hand-smocked and hand embroidered with French silk embroidery floss and edged with French or English Lace and Swiss Embroidery.   We like the timeless beauty of batiste as our fabric of choice for newborns, but our vintage inspired geometric smocking designs also look beautiful sewn onto a variety of prints and ginghams as baby grows older.

Our desire is to celebrate the individuality of each child with a creative original design meant to be treasured from one generation to the next.  Because one thing never changes through the generations, and that is the treasure of a baby in our arms.
